INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY ADMINISTRATOR

Remuneration Package: R 376,413 per annum

Location: Head Office (Pretoria)
The purpose of the position: This role will involve providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, and assisting with the maintenance of IT systems, infrastructure and related ICT matters. The incumbent will be assisting the Deputy Manager in the IT Division with the planning and operation of the organisation’s information systems function.
Requirements: National Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field coupled with at least 2 to 4 years’ hardware, software and network experience. Additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an advantage. A valid driver’s licence and preparedness to travel.
Competencies needed: Strong knowledge of networking, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, and VPN. Proficient in managing and configuring servers and user end points. Experience with cloud services, virtualization technologies, and backup solutions. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Performance Areas include (But not limited to):
Implement and Maintain Business Applications Systems as per IT Strategy, Policy and SOPs; •Applications/enabling technology implemented as per the ICT strategy •Business application processes developed and implemented •Systems administration Reports •Email Management and support •Back-up systems and data.
Develop and maintain the Backup system for data, through •Monthly review of the operation of business applications conducted •IT Systems Report •Backups •Access control of business applications developed and monitored •Virus Scanning software installed on all computers •Up to-date software licenses in use
Install all the required systems software on all computers (Technical Support) •Network and end-user support •Troubleshoot, manage, and resolve Network-related calls within the agreed time frame •On-call support provided (telephone, face-to-face, and online support) •All incidents logged on the fault logging system investigated and followed
Identify Risks and develop proposals for improvement (Risk Management) •Risk Management and Assessment conducted •Risks identified and proposals developed for improvement •Incidents logging as per Policy and SOPs with preparing reports on Calls Logged, Resolved, and Closed. •Preparation and filing of Invoices/payments submitted by supporting IT service providers •Quarterly reports produced with Deliverables
Content Management System: • Up-to-date CMS system with all the necessary information •Training on user access and usage •Administration of all the available content.
