ASSET MANAGER (12-Month Contract)

Salary level 9: R 641,788.83 per annum (R468,459 + plus 37% in lieu of benefits)

Purpose of the Position: Ensures that the PanSALB’s Asset Register is up-to-date through the development and implementation of policies and procedures for assets, management of allocation and physical movement of organizational assets, introduction of control measures for the effective, efficient and economical use of all assets by users, asset verification at Head Office and Provincial Offices and disposal of redundant, obsolete and unserviceable assets.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of Grade 12 (NQF level 4) and a 3 year National Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or 7) in Assets management / SCM or equivalent qualification (NQF level 6 or 7). The Applicant must have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Asset Management. Experience in a supervisory role will be an added advantage.

Technical competencies needed: Customer Relationship Management, Interpersonal Relations, Communication, Negotiation and Mediation, Presentation, Report Writing, Computer Literacy (MS Office, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint), Excellent written and verbal Communication skills, Project Management, Planning and Coordination, Leadership.

Key Performance Areas: The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following tasks, amongst others but not limited to the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Asset Management Operating Plans, Systems, Processes, Policies, and Procedures

• Acquisition, maintenance and disposal Assets

• Asset Management

• Functional relationship between asset management and other functions
