PanSALB IN CONJUCTION WITH DSAC TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY -2022

The Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) in partnership with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) will on 21 and 22 February 2022, at ICC Premier Hotel, East London in the Eastern Cape commemorate International Mother Language Day.

Under the theme “Using technology for multilingual learning: Challenges and opportunities” the celebration aims to raise the potential role of technology to advance multilingual education and support the development of quality teaching and learning.  The celebration is undertaken also to acknowledge the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022-2032) as declared by UNESCO.

The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Hon Nkosinathi Emmanuel Nathi Mthethwa is expected to deliver a keynote address

The celebration will also be available on all social media pages of both PanSALB and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
