PanSALB IN CONJUNCTION WITH ALASA AND THE UNIVERSITY OF FORT HARE TO HOST ALASA ANNUAL LANGUAGE CONFERENCE
The Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB), in conjunction with the African Language Association of Southern Africa conference (ALASA) and the university of Forth Hare will, on 25 -27 September 2021, host a language conference at the Premier Hotel East London ICC, Eastern Cape.
ALASA is a non-discriminatory non-profit making association established in 1979 aimed at the following promotion:
- Interaction between researchers, students, teachers of African Languages and literature
- To assist in the promotion of research, language development, and effective verbal and written communication in a multilingual society
Under the theme “Perspective in African Languages for Decoloniality and the fourth industrial revolution in the 21st century” the conference aims amongst other at encouraging language planning and policy, education, and liaison with other organization with similar interest
